Gibralter airport is a British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula at the entrance of the Mediterranean, overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar and it is owned by Royal Air force. It was owned by British airforce in 2nd world war. If aircarft is landing from any approach it will face sea at short short finals. This airport has an important as well as dangerous significance of being just 500 meters from city centre. Another important thing to mention here is that a main road is passing through the centre of runway which is blocked only when aircraft is taxying, landing or taking off! Some of the images are:
